Meeting Point
Mathew Pokoik

Inspiration arrives at Meeting Point, where artists pair new work with an exquisite, multi-course dinner by Chef Ethan Knechel (formerly of Reynard, Spotted Pig) in collaboration with Mor Pipman and Anna Young, and featuring produce grown by MTA gardener Anastacia Bolina and local farms.

Meeting Point supports year-round artist residencies with a spirited, evening-length distillation of Mount Tremper Arts’ mission: the cultivation of community and creative exploration grounded in the expansive Catskill Mountains.

Vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Gelsey Bell is a songwriter and scholar who culls from various techniques to create her own performance works, to voice those of contemporary composers, and to improvise. Becca Blackwell is a trans actor, performer, and writer. Existing between genders, they works collaboratively to expand our sense of personhood and the body. Julie Mayo is a choreographer and performer who makes dances that foreground performance as content and resist easy description of lived experience. Choreographer Edisa Weeks assembles flora into mischievous, elegant, or offbeat hair designs befitting your unique personality and style.
