Inspiration arrives at Meeting Point, a unique feast featuring a multi-course dinner with pairings and offerings by artists-in-residence including Laurie Berg, Paul Pinto and Edisa Weeks, who will create signature hair designs for guests.
Mount Tremper Arts Chef Ethan Knechel (formerly of Reynard, Spotted Pig) and special guest chef Mor Pipman (Much Mor Bread) will prepare an exquisite dinner with produce harvested from the garden in collaboration with MTA gardener Anastacia Bolina, and from local farms.
Laurie Berg makes work in a variety of forms including dance and performance, collage and jewelry. In addition to her choreographic work, Laurie engages with the dance community as a producer, curator, and event organizer, and is co-organizer of AUNTS. Paul Pinto creates and produces experimental music and theatrical works and is the founder and co-director of thingNY and Varispeed. His compositions blend chamber music with theater, centering on the human voice and the endurance of the human body. Multi-media artist, educator, and site-specific choreographer Edisa Weeks makes fantastically delirious hair art. Treat yourself to a hair design that assembles flora from MTA to sculpt a unique, mischievous, elegant or off-beat design that is created on the spot to match your personality and style.
Meeting Point supports year-round artist residencies with a spirited, evening-length distillation of MTA’s mission: the cultivation of community and creative exploration grounded in the expansive surrounds of the Catskill Mountains.
