The Otherself (1st Sketch)

Co-presented with New York Live Arts
August 24, 2019

Their first duet in 20 years together, The Otherself is a choreographic and relational study of Yamazaki and Nishimura as butoh master and student, husband and wife, and dance artists sharing the same yet different lives. How many of their thoughts and actions are formed by, and for, the other?
